This is the first in a series of miniatures of the Street Sculptures. Originally made as a large scale installation in public space for the opening of Rotterdam's cultural season. These miniatures were presented at Typojanchi: C( )T( ) the 4th International Typography Biennale in Seoul.
"Why don't we do it in the road"
All sculptures communicate a street related quote selected in collaboration with curator Lukas Feireiss. The project looks into the subject of the street as integral element of socio-cultural interaction within the urban environment, that is shared between all sorts of people. Rather than to understand the street from a mono-functional perspective, the project re-imagined the street as a ever-changing, altered state within the fabric of the city.
